Headquarters for Upper Wabash Interpretive Services (UWIS) programming for J.E. Roush Lake Fish and Wildlife Area, Mississinewa Lake, Ouabache State Park, Salamonie Lake and Salamonie River State Forest.

Winter Hours: Nov. 1 through March 31
Open 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., Wednesday – Sunday
Closed Tuesday
Summer Hours: April 1 through Oct. 31:
Open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., each day

The UWIS provides interpretive programming for J.E. Roush Lake Fish and Wildlife Area, Mississinewa Lake, Ouabache State Park, and Salamonie Lake.

Birds Migrate" Preschool-age children (ages 2 - 5) and their adults are invited to Salamonie Preschool. The class will be offered from 10 - 11:30 a.m. and again from 12:30 - 2 p.m. at Salamonie Interpretive Center in Lost Bridge West SRA, Andrews. Each program is designed to enhance the preschooler's education, including a story, Yoga, building a craft, social interaction and time outdoors, always with a nature-related theme. The program fee is $2 per child. Advance registration is appreciated.…

Sign up for 9 sessions for $60/child (ages 3-5).  Choose either Tuesday or Wednesday Series. Tuesday Series:  9 am to noon on Sept. 10th, Oct. 1st, November 5th, December 3rd, January 7, 2020, Feb. 4th, March 3rd, April 7th and May 6th. Wednesday Series is from 1 pm to 4 pm on Sept. 18th, Oct. 16th, Nov. 20th, Dec. 18th, January 22, 2020, Feb. 19th, March 18th, April 22nd and May 6th.
