Spring Break Staycation Ideas For The Whole Family

Enjoying a staycation this Spring Break from home? No problem! We’ve gathered a list of fun ideas to do with your entire family when you’re ready to get out of the house. 😎

1. Pop-up Mini Golf at The Wabash County Museum

March 29th – April 27th from 10 AM to 5 PM Tuesday through Friday and 10 AM to 2 PM on Saturday

Play a round on their flowery 9-hole regulation golf course set up throughout the museum. This is a great activity for the whole family and tickets grant you access to explore the whole museum.

Tickets range from $9 to $3

2. Spring Break at NMPL (FREE)

April 1st – April 6th

North Manchester Public Library is hosting a FREE week of Spring Break activities for all ages. CLICK FOR ALL EVENTS.

All week! Popsicle stick snake craft is an activity that is designed to allow you to come into the library any time during open hours and spend time crafting at your leisure! No specific times to memorize… no clean up after… just good creative fun!

Free interactive movie on Monday at 11 AM. Watch Emperor’s New Groove in ​a way you have ever experienced before. Pretend you’re on a roller coaster, make tons of noise, eat gummy bugs, sample edible grass, show off your dance moves, and MORE!

Silent Book Club on Wednesday at 6 PM. Bring the book of your choice to the library for a quiet hour of reading in peace. (You can also choose a book from the library shelves!) We’ll have cozy blankets and comfortable seating for all attendees. Colored lanyards will be available for participants to wear, to help indicate who is down for some book chit chat and who is not.

3. Spring Break Bash (FREE)

April 1st to April 4th

Honeywell Arts & Entertainment is hosting FREE spring break activities for 4 days across several Honeywell venues. CLICK FOR ALL EVENTS.

Free movies on Monday through Thursday at 1 PM and 7 PM at Eagles Theatre with a different movie each day.

Free Nature Activities on Wednesday and Thursday at 2 PM explore nature through art at Charley Creek Gardens with a different activity each day.

4. First Friday in Downtown Wabash (FREE)

April 5th from 5 PM to 8 PM

Downtown will transform into a tropical oasis during this special First Friday! Dust off your best Hawaiian shirt and invite your friends and family to celebrate all things tropical! Join us in welcoming the arrival of spring with luau-inspired activities, shopping specials, unique dining, specialty drinks and fun things to do in our lively downtown district.

5. Hiking & Waterfalls

Wabash County is full of hiking trails and waterfalls. Get outside this week and discover something new! Between the multiple Acres Land Trust properties, Salamonie State Park, and Mississinewa State Park, you could fill your week with exploration. LEARN MORE!

6. Discoverable Driving Tours

We have put together 3 different driving tours for you to enjoy! From historic locations, to scrap metal transformer statues that the kiddos will love, we guarantee there is something for everyone. Let’s bring back the ‘Sunday Drive’ that can be experienced any day of the week! LEARN MORE!
