Salamonie Lake First Day Hike
January 1 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Start the New Year off right with fresh air and renewed senses. Join Upper Wabash Interpretive Services’ staff for a First Hike, Jan 1 at 10:00 am at Salamonie Lake.
Meet at the interpretive center for an approximately one and half hour, one mile stroll through the woods along the moderate Wildlife Management Trail. A portion of the walk will be spent along the newly accessible graveled path between the interpretive center and the accessible pier located on the Wildlife Management Pond. We’ll also be testing the motorized wheelchair on this section of the trail. If you’d like to be a volunteer, please let us know when you register.
Dress for the weather. Families and friendly dogs on leaches are welcome. Advance registration is requested by calling 260-468-2127.
