Wabash County is also situated between 2 reservoirs that each possess multiple boat access sites, beaches, hiking trails, nature preserves, and camping.

Mississinewa Lake

Situated on the 3,210-acre lake located south of Wabash, the beach at Mississinewa Lake offers excellent swimming and recreational opportunities. The beach features close parking, bathrooms and showers, and a concession stand. Pack a cooler, beach chairs, and some sunblock and spend the day enjoying the tranquil atmosphere! The beach opens on Memorial Day Weekend and closes after Labor Day weekend.

Salamonie Lake

Situated on the 2,665-acre lake located north of Wabash, the beach at Salamonie Lake is the perfect retreat for sand, sun, and fun! With ample parking just steps from the beach, pack up your kiddos’ favorite beach toys and your cooler and relax to the sounds of the rippling lake. The beach opens on Memorial Day Weekend and closes after Labor Day weekend. Restrooms and picnic tables are available on-site.
